Ever sneak a look at the end of a book?

Only once did I struggle with this. Mr. King was going on and on and I just wanted to know if Danny would survive; that's the only book that tested my willpower. I have a soft corner for kids in horror/mystery books.

Yes, I mostly did it when I was younger and I could not wait to see all the bright illustrations in the book. What makes it even worse is that illustrations in children's stories tend to be very big spoilers. So I would literally see the end of the story and be sad about it.

No, never! What would be the point of reading the book if you already know how it ends. Reading the ending first would spoil the whole book for me.

Sometimes I can’t even read the whole book blurb because so many of them give away details I would have rather been surprised by! My mom reads the end of a book almost every time. I like the journey of reading and when I can be surprised. I just want to know enough about the story to know if I will be interested, and then let the book carry me away!

Rarely. I like to read the ending for the first time as I finish the book. Reading it prior to that spoils the fun for me.

I do this a lot! You are right about it being a bad habit but I can't seem to stop.

I also agree about the two characters getting together part, my curiosity gets the better of me. Although I do end up finishing the book even though if doesn't turn out how I want it.

Yes! This was a habit when a novel was really juicy and I couldn't read it fast enough, but I'm trying to be more self-controlled as an adult.

yes when I see the plot of the story becoming even the tiniest bit tragic, I go to the ending to save my heart

Very rarely have I snuck a peak at the end. Everytime I have done this, it takes the excitement out of the storyline progression. So, even if I want to peak, I really try to restrain myself.

Sometimes when I have been labouring through a particularly long book for a while I feel like doing this. However reading on the Kindle has stopped this impulse and I find myself enjoying the book more.

I have never thus far. If I don't like a book, even if I am already half way through, I just stop reading it. Then, it's on to the next.
