Our dreams and desires sometimes end up disrupted but a good fight helps rediscover them. This relates well with Kim whom upon get a job at AI feels that her dreams will be fulfilled. However, she realises that she is not only restricted on attire to wear but also the conversations to have. She hopes and desires to break away from this imprisonment but no hopes come by. When she meets Kimberly who befriends her and through her Kim's loneliness is cut short. They discuss alot of things about AI without secretly and plan how to leave and even destroy it. Congrats to BOTD!

It appears that the book is a sci-fi about how can AI can destroy humanity. But, I am not a massive fan of this genre. So, I am going to pass this one. Thanks for this great review.

Due to the rapid growth of AI in our present society, I think the notion of AIs intriguing, and the storyline of the book is unique, and is sure to appeal to many interested readers. Thank you for the review!

I wonder how the title of the book is related to the story, however, the review seems interesting as it is about a mysterious dream and memory, where I hope the story will get me sticked to it. Thanks for the review!

The book seems very apt for the current path the world seems to be taking. It certainly paints a grim future in a bland world without freedom. Yet, the end of this insightful review offers hope. I shall have to think about it.

"Terms of Service" by Craig W. Stanfill. A very captivating story that talks about Kim, and her opportunity of working with the Artificial intelligence company. She was determined to rise by connecting with people higher than her. Kim challenge started when she met Kimberly. Congrats on BOTD.

The novel reiterates the idea of the failure of any dystopian system. The protagonist soon realizes that neutrality and equality have their downsides too. I'm willing to read and discover how Kim handles every new challenge. Thanks for your review!

Outside work, Kim lived in a nondescript house and wore mandatory pale beige, pale blue, or pale green attire, which were gender-neutral. The concept of freedom and privacy was alien, and every aspect of life, like food choice, companionship and childbirth, conversation topics, music, and entertainment, were subject to monitoring and evaluation. Any slight infringement or defiance resulted in brutal and swift punishment from the AI and the Hierarchy. The absurdity of a supposedly perfect world driven by unity, community, and equality began sinking in. Kim’s rising anger and motivation to break free increased when she met Kimberly, her latest AI assignment. Will Kim figure out everything in time? How is she to fight formidable enemies who control the very world she lives in?
Oh my, that sounds like one mind-numbing world. Kim and Kimberly...I wonder if that's some sort of alter ego... I'll have to read the book to find out.
Nevertheless, I did not like the depiction of the excessive use of an assortment of drugs and alcohol to induce intimacy. It is not relevant, and I am a firm believer in the anti-drugs message in whatever setting.
I understand your point. However, I guess it takes an insane amount of unconsciousness to survive such a world.

I usually don't read sci-fi but your fantastic review convinced me of giving this book a chance. Thank you!

This sounds like an intriguing book. I am not keen on reading about AI! I think the progress that has already been made is scary! We should ust stop while we can! Thanks for the wonderful review!

A well detailed review. The interactions of robots with humans fascinates me. The life of Kim also piques my interest as I wonder if she would be able to break free from the gravity of her job which she underestimated.

I always like things to do with computers and technology. Kim is excited working for an AI company but the restrictions are a turn off. Will the working conditions improve? The review is great.

I was browsing Sci-Fi/Fantasy category, searching something to read, the title caught my attention and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I am quite surprised that the book has such low average rating, because I personally am more inclined to agree with Guda LM opinion and all the fine points raised in the review. Well deserved congratulations on BOTD!

This is a really good review. I liked the summary of the book. It's quite an interesting plot and definitely my type of book. I am giving this a full read very soon.
