This looks like a good story, I like the combination of history and romance book. I would like to know what happened to Susanna that made her hate men so much despite her beauty. There is clearly a story there.

The book is a historical fiction that tells the story of rebellion in England and the roles of different characters in or fighting the rebels.. There is also a hint of romance and love. These themes will interest the readers.
The review is superb.

This is is a historical fiction about the story of rebellion in England. Susanna Mandeville, a beautiful spinster, shows crude behavior to men, sharp tongue, and bad use of the fists drove her father to banish her for the fourth time to Bourne. In Bourne, she met two significant men. Will Susanna finally get her dream? A well written book and a book review. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I do love a bit of historical fiction, and I really enjoy the cover of this novel as well! However, the first few pages didn't really grab me so I'm unsure if I'll continue. Thank you for the review!

I like that the author talks about the rebellion in England. Today some countries are still threatened by rebels. I also liked that the author talks about this lady who does not want to get married. Even today some parents are worried when their daughters refuse to enter marriage.

This book sounds intriguing and Susanna's character sounds interesting! A woman who hates men. I wonder what happened in her life to cause that kind of hate?

Susanna sounds like an interesting character. Unfortunately the book sounds a little too romance centric for my taste but I'm sure many would enjoy it

I enjoy reading historical fiction. History is fascinating. Though we may despise past injustices done you can not fail to appreciate life in the past and the lessons they carry. Congrats on being BOTD.

Ah, a misfit. Susanna Mandeville already has my undivided attention, and I'm looking forward to finding out how her story arc develops when she encounters the two men that spell trouble for her. Your review is precise and provides just enough to incite my curiosity about the characters you've described. Looking forward to reading this book!

I enjoy historical fiction especially when the storyline focuses strongly on the characters. I'm wondering how a crude young woman whose father banished her got invited to an event hosted by King Edward? I'll have to read it to find out!
