The cover had a little message about racism but was not so clear. When I started reading the book, I got the racist experience better imagined.

The cover of the book can be confusing at first. After reading the book you get to add more context to it. The cover shows a black woman being beaten by a police officer while a black man and two Vietnamese watch. The cover photo is fitting since it displays racism that the author experienced in Vietnam.

I haven't yet read the book, but I was impressed with Brendan Donaghy's review. Having read what I have, I think the cover serves the book well as a visual representation of the content. The cover shows a moment in the author's life at the crossroads of great confusion and frustration when he is asked, "Why are you helping the oppressor oppress us when your people are being oppressed in your country?" It allows us to see the author's struggle, as he stands alongside the Vietnamese, even as he loyally fights for the country that consistently attempts to dehumanise him.

At first, when you read the title of the book, you would think that this book's main theme is going to be war, but as you continue reading it, you'll find out the major theme of this book is racism. I believe that the cover art signifies the main theme of this book, which is racism. The cover clearly displays a woman being beaten by the police and three men watching it, as they are thinking about the consequences of their actions if they stand up for their rights.

I think that the author designed the cover very cleverly. He hid the content of the book from the viewers in front of the viewers. In the cover, there is clearly a black woman beaten by a white man and a black man is just watching them. It clearly shows the depth of the racism in the society. So. I think that the cover is very much related to the content.

The proceedings themselves are quite chaotic. I feel both the title and cover page are relevant and appropriate as they strongly portray the contents of this book.

The cover photo is fitting since it displays racism that the author experienced in Vietnam and the book remind me what happened to George Floyd in the US in 2020.

I find it taxing as well. The book cover for me, was like a piece as well that needed to be decoded for its significan. However, you may associate a lot of things from it.

I honestly like the cover; although it could have been done better, like using a more appealing graphic illustration, I’d like to conceive that it is associated with the theme. The two men with hats represent their nativeness as citizens witnessing the conflict.

I think the cover photo depicts the storyline of the book. It doesn't only talk about war but has a stronger theme of racism which the cover photo portrays.

While the cover depicts the primary theme of the novel which is racism, I think the circumstances could have been made different to represent this theme. This book talks about a time of war, we should have seen instead a soldier and probably we could do without the standbys. It makes for a case of police brutality rather than of war.

I've checked the page cover clearly, and I feel it tally with the overall theme and structure of the book. The book involves military violence, and I believe the cover page covers that.

What I'm not sure of is whether the book's title reflects the overall themes and plot of the book. I was hoping to get a better reflective title.

I believe the cover is quite suitable with the story. It depicts the chaos associated with war.
