What scares you the most...

^ The Exocrcist will terrify you in that case. I wasnt even pushed either way about seeing such a thing and i found it very disturbing so having a fear of it already is even worse..

I find as im getting older that its seeing family or friends suffer that terrify me the most, im quite close to my family and as the years pass you realise that happy moments with family and friends are precious so you care less about material things. I know thats easy to say having a good job but i would happpily give it up if it meant longer with family and friends. Thats the most important thing in life in my opinion.

Little girl ghosts in movies are scary - and I'm not sure why it's specifically little girl ghosts - little boy ghosts....nope nothing. Weird I know.

Watching a possession of any kind will completely terrify me - which is why I have never watched fully any sort of exorcist movie and probably never will - forget about facing my fears and all that.

I know what you mean about little girl ghosts, I am exactly the same. Especially the ones that don't talk and just appear in the background coming closer all the time. "The Ring" and "The Ring 2" come to mind.

But weird thing is The Ring first and second never really freaked me out. I enjoyed it for sure and there are parts that make you uneasy. In fact I used to freak my sister out by brushing my hair in front of my face (I have really long black hair so it works really well ) and waiting in a dark room for her.....umm ok maybe a bit disturbed but I'm blaming it entirely on my youth

What an awful thing to do to your sister. Its funny I used to do something very similar to my younger brother. When we were little kids we shared a room and he was two years younger than me. Just after we had gone to bed I used to sit straight up and speak in an evil voice and pretend I was possessed by an evil spirit. When he threatened to yell out to our parents I would pretend to come back to normal and act as if I had no idea what was going on. Then I would wait a few minutes and do it all over again. Writing it now it seems a horrible thing to do, but it was funny.

Have you seen the original Japanese versions of the Ring? Imho they are much better and much scarier.

I have watched the first Ring in the original Japanese which is definitely better than the re-release I agree. I didn't know there was a second one in the Japanese version. I just thought Hollywood wanted to churn another out (as they do) because the first proved to be very popular. But if it is from the Japanese version, then will definitely check that one out.

Missing opportunities, being buried alive, losing friends

Being buried alive is right up there for me too. I am a massive claustrophobic.

I am very claustrophobic. Every time in a movie when someone is buried alive I lose it. I can't watch. Caves freak me out. I think its because when I was a little kid about three years old I managed to lock myself in our toilet. I stood up on the pan and could just reach the lock. However when I tried to reach it again to open it, I could not reach it. It seemed like I was in there forever until they got a screwdriver and opened it from the outside. Its ok now I can reach the lock.

No joke, the same thing happened to me and closed spaces make me nervous too. I do better since one of my sisters reminded me of what happened, she was the one on the other side trying to shove a knife under the door. I had repressed the memory until I had a panic attack in a big auditorium we went to. I still feel uncomfortable but I don't cry anymore!
Usually I just look down or step off to the side if I get stuck in a crowd.

That can suck. I was fishing on a lake some years ago, it was about 20 miles from the nearest store, and when I bent over to take a fish off the hook my cigs fell out of my pocket into the water. I panicked, that was the fastest 20 miles I ever did. Dosent matter anymore, I quit them about 10 years ago and went to a pipe. And I dont smoke it while cleaning fish.

Deep water. Can't stand my head going underwater, it freaks me out.

Also, flying. I just hate thinking I'm so high up with nothing keeping the plane up there. Stupid, yes, but if I'm going on a flight I normally take calming pills.

centipedes...we have pet rats, think rodents are cute, a friend used to have a tarantula and I thought it was interesting enough to hold, we have two goofy, lovable pit bulls...but centipedes will get me on a chair shrieking...until one of the dogs eats it...mmmm crunchy
Oh and slugs, stepping on a slug in bare feet or sandals, even sneakers just ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
