Not sure what really made the guy walk away. Even though he expected a girl but discovered a boy who was overweight. Getting a chance to read this book might help me understand and discover more. Looks like the guy doubted whether Quinn was his real child. I'm glad that this book will relate and challenge folks who walk away and never provide enough responsibilty and support to their children. Exellent review here.
It's really sad when parents turn away from their responsibilities of caring for their children.I think Olivia's is brave for this. Great review and plot

The review of Quinn’s Bluster highlights the book's emotional depth and relevance, particularly regarding the challenges faced by single parents and the impact of bullying. The character development and the focus on love and support resonate strongly. It sounds like a poignant read that effectively addresses important social issues, making it appealing for both parents and educators.
The story of Quinn and Olivia sounds heart-wrenching but inspiring, especially with the strong themes of love and the impact of discrimination. While the mysticism and expletives might not be for me, the emotional depth and focus on single parenting makes me curious to read it.
