Life is benevolent. Do you agree?

I don't really know that I would agree entirely that life is kind. I would say if anything that life is just something neutral that we experience. It is up to you as a person to view the things that happen in your life one way or the other. I mean yes, life is extremely unfair, but that doesn't make it kind or unkind. It's just a means to an end.

I believe that life is what you perceive it to be. Your thoughts and reactions to the events that happen in life determine how life will be for you. However, I believe life itself is neither kind nor unfair. It's indifferent to everyone and favours nobody specifically.

I'm not sure I agree with the author completely, but I believe life has duality for a reason; otherwise, how would we describe the good moments without the bad? Benevolence does not occur in a vacuum, yet the fact that life is overwhelmingly positive is something I cannot accept.

Life is kind, after all. It allows us to enjoy the many good things of it despite the many challenges and struggles that have been imposed on us. It enables us to continue and tests us numerous times to see how our faith goes. Hence, it is kind and it is fair.

I believe that without the negatives in life, the positives wouldn't have value. Also, it is essential to note that everything is relative. What you consider a negative may be another person's blessing. What's important is to take the lessons learned and leverage them?

I believe that that there is duality in life. Good means existence of bad and vice-versa.

Great thought provoking question. I think life is kind and benevolent overall however there are many difficult moments that we will encounter as part of living a full life. I would say the power of our happiness lies with the individual and not the circumstances: how do we see the moments that we encounter and can we control our narrative and perspective so that we find the good in both the happy and difficult times.

Life is benevolent? Before trying to find an answer to this, the statement in itself seems to suggest that life, in and of itself, is a conscience being that is capable of acting and/or being benevolent, ruthless etc. That said, if the statement is true, then that would be frightening, if not interesting. Imagine going about your daily life all the while not knowing that your actions are being weighed by the very life you're living and in accordance to your actions, presents you with either good fortune or misfortune. Could this then be the basis of luck? But I digress.

What I believe is that life is nothing more than a state of being. Being alive means you have life and how good or bad your life is, is dependent on your actions and your ability to either seize opportunities or able to determine those that are short term benefits from those that are truly long term.

Life to me is a sojourn. And from personal experiences, I feel our sole purpose in life is to make sure that while we're gunning for what we want or need in life, we should also give room to admire, wallow in and enjoy all that life has to offer. That would be living and that way we would get to see how much life has to offer us all.

Is Life really kind? It offer its placeto stay for a while and deals with us whichever way it pleases. Sometimes it gives us joy and other times it take away that joy and make us cry. Life is fair I agree but benevolent no.

I agree and disagree with this. I agree that life is a function of mindset; a positive outlook on the negative will make it less overwhelming, without a doubt. However, holding a positive outlook, which disregards the negative is toxic. Both the positive and negative should be acknowledged, and given the proper respect. To do otherwise, I believe, is to ignore the powerful lessons that negative experiences teach us.

I agree that life is kind in the definition of always generously giving you new experiences and expectations, regardless of how good or bad they are. Hence, life always has something to offer us. How we receive it is relative to each of us.

Sadly it's not benevolent as you said. Maybe it can be neutral but most out of the time it will give you a negative impact. By this day I can say life is suck. But I just hang in there till end of my life. when you just got hang in to good balance for awhile it will suddenly drop you to the ground. Well I hope not all feel what I feel. Keep fighting.

I do not believe that life is kind or anything for that matter. I think that it is neutral. It does not chose to be cold or kind to anybody. What we see in our lives is a product of decisions taken by us or other people. But I know that even though life is neutral, it is really humbling at the end of the day.
