The most important lesson was that of self-respect and holding one's self esteem high even in the face of all kinds of discrimination and injustice being meted out. Nobody is 'abnormal' in this world. It is the deplorable perspectives that lead to racism.

From this book, I learnt not to seek vengeance unecessarily, and not to abuse technology.

Technology is useful but can be detrimental as well. I also realized that there are ways other than environmental, people could destroy the World if not careful.

You must be strong and courageous in life even if no one is applauding you. Stay focused!

I learned that we should persevere. Determination and perseverance are key qualities to success even when the odds are against us.

I learned in books how there are two sides of a coin. And one must never be too judgmental unless they found out the reason or the cause. Reading the perspective of other characters, it became a thought or an objective for me to think twice before going to conclusions.

I learn that, in spite of all the barriers in whatever we do, determination and focus always get us to our goals.

I think this one is a particularly interesting point. I definitely agree, I think that in a lot of situations or circumstances proving someone wrong can propel you and possibly sustain your motivation

I learnt that we should always strive hard to get what we want to achieve. We should never be tired and give up but we should keep going strong.

I had a few take away points for me from this book which included:
Giving up should never be an option no matter the circumstances.
Kindness is an important virtue for everyone to practice.
In times of unpredictability, we all desire to be close to our loved ones.

The biggest lesson I learned from this book is that us humans can handle a lot and be extremely resilient. Building up five nations after 99% of the world's population dies is admirable and difficult.
