Yes, I believe that those who are self-employed should also enjoy the benefits of retirement, though the planning process that goes into it is probably much more strenuous.

Entrepreneurs don't retire but it gets to some point where they will not be able to do as much as before. That time they will have to hire people to help them with some heavy tasks in their businesses.

It actually depends. There are some passive incomes that would still fetch you lots of money even when you take a break or even retire.
I believe that great success is possible in any field - From music to mathematics to macro trading.

Take trading as an example, or being an investor. Even If people like that retire, the money keeps coming.

In the end, everyone would have to retire. Even the entrepreneur.

At one point in life, entrepreneurs would want to retire too and they should. They have to think more, plan more, and find the right people who can take over the responsibility.

Yes, of course. We don't have all the energy forever to think and our physic must be exhausted the more we get older.

It's not always easy for a self-employed to retire. It would be great if he or she was able to do so. However, this might not be applicable in all cases. Sometimes, it could be a partial retirement, reducing work hours to a minimum.

I don't think an entrepreneur can completely retire, although they can step down for their children or someone else to do the main work but I don't think they can ever completely take their eyes and mind off something they've worked for with their years and sweat

Eventually everyone will want to take a break, even entrepreneurs. There's always time that we need peace from such stressful things as work.

As a self employed, it is important to start planning about succession. Good businesses die most times because of lack of good succession plan

I don't believe they have to, especially if they love what it is that they do, but I've always bren an advocate for preparing for the worst outcome.

If you are self-employed and an entrepreneur chances are, you are in your preferred field and you enjoy your job. Of course you should retire someday, with a lot of planning ahead. Perhaps you will not want to retire completely and will want to continue to do what you love most.
