The greatest lesson for me is not to wait till you retire before you start to enjoy life, before you start doing the things you've always wanted to do. Life is unpredictable and getting older comes with it's own baggages.

I learned all the ins and outs about life insurance. For example, I didn’t know that term-life insurance was the cheapest and best for getting through a specific time in life (like your child’s college), where whole-life insurance comes with a cash value.

What I have is that I need more financial knowledge as I plan for my retirement because sometimes even good plans may fail

One great lesson I have learnt from this book even though I am quite young is preparing for the dry seasons. Having just pensions after retirement is definitely not enough. This book showed me that its not rocket science to have a proper lifestyle after retirement. Proper planning now helps make a better living during the dry seasons.

It was also shocking for me. The important lesson I learnt is to start saving from my youth days, so that can be rest assured I can live properly when I am retired and not necessary depend on pension.

It was more surprising for me figuring that in the US an average pension of over $400k is not enough. That is way more than what is actually obtainable in most countries. However I think my major take away from this book is to plan every stage of my life.

It is important that we live our lives and enjoy our younger age before retiring. What people who are retiring should try to have other plans. The amount may not actually be enough in the long run.

The major lesson learnt from this book is the need to strategize and plan my life. The time when a person is young is the time one has to take decisive actions to secure old age.

People not only live much longer than in the past, they also are useful much later in life. So better look for a job at retirement age.

That learning, relearning and unlearning never stops no matter how old you get. Even though, a person could grow as old as 98, that person will never stop getting new information or lessons from people younger or older than him or her. Age doesn't really define a person's experience or sense of knowledge. It's a concept made by humans that determines our lifetime, that's all. It doesn't create anything else but people's perception of how old you are in the world.

I have learnt quite frankly that it is good to plan ahead of retirement. To be sincere, when I first saw the title of the book, I thought it is one piece dealing on supernatural stuff. But I understand on reading further.

The greatest lesson I have picked up from this book is that the typical job may no longer be sufficient going forward and one must make adequate plans and always be in preparation.

The greatest lesson I learned is that all of the time and energy I put into being afraid of retirement, i'd use it to make proper plans and preparation for my retirement.

Planning for retire and having a good time as a youth go in tandem so that we don't miss on enjoying life and saving for later just to wake late.
