Very detailed review. I love reading war books so this one is right up my alley. I certainly appreciate the humor and the easy camaraderie between Jamie and Jacko. The novel is well put together, the characters are distinct and the plot is a good one. This appears to be yet another series I should get my hands on to read. I am not a big fan of historical fiction because many authors use the historical facts as an information dump. This story, however, seems to have engaging characters and sounds like it could be fun to read. Excllent review.
