I'm sorry, but I am not a reader of historical war books. The way the author added some fun and lighthearted characters, which isn't always easy to do in this type of work. This does sound like an excellent book and I hope those who enjoy this type of book add it to their libraries. Thank you for an excellent review!

War books aren't my cup of tea, but I think readers who love historical fiction would enjoy this book. The backdrop of Egypt adds another layer of intrigue. Thanks for the detailed review.

Your review of this book is comprehensive and informative enough to guide would-be readers to decide whether to pick it or not. You were able to highlight the basic preoccupation of the book. I particularly liked the excellent character development in the book; especially the main characters, James and Jack. I am a fan of historical fiction, and I think this book will make an interesting read.

An amazing story indeed. Especially it is set in a war period which I always fond reading of. Can't wait to check this book to see if this book really worth a rate of four stars. Thank you for your review.

There are many books within this genre in relation to a war. Having some humor and other various aspects can often break apart the war aspects. I am curious how this book holds up to others. Great review

This story is the beginning of a series full of intrigue and suspense. It is good to know that the plot is well developed and that the author could include fascinating historical details. It is also good to know that the characters are exciting and well developed. I definitely think I may give this book a chance.

A war-historical-fiction is not my favourite book. But the well-written review is very convincing. The detail account of the egyptian pyramids, sphinx, and other structures of giza are worth reading. And I love fast-paced stories. Great review!

This book has an intriguing cover page and I like the fact that it's a historical fiction. But it doesn't seem disquieting like most historical fiction books about war. Thank you for this review.

Although the plot of this book doesn't interest me much, I'm drawn to well-developed characters and interesting narration. I also appreciate the various historical settings, especially 1940s Egypt. I'll pass on this one, but thanks for the review!

The historical fiction looks into the adventures of two Australian soldiers bonded by their war experiences. Their stories seem to explore the different battles fought inside and outside the war zone. Congratulations on Book of the Day!
