One thing that pushes me to read The Hoyden and the Rake by Victoria Price is the urge to find out if Fiona and Philip overcame the barriers and acknowledge their love for each other. Great review!

Wonderful review. I like the character of Fiona. Very determined lady. Her principle is very good. If most ladies would apply it in their decision making it would bale them out of some future heartbreaks.

I love a good period romance, especially with such strong-headed characters, and I think the name-changing was normal at the time because it depended on the level of familiarity of the person who addressed another one. However, I do have a pet peeve for inconsistencies in the plot.
Thank you for your honest review.

I like the characters of Fiona and Philip and find there is enough intrigue to keep me engaged in the story. As a believer in true love, this story will make an enjoyable read. Thanks for an excellent review on this book.

Women who remain resolute in their principles are not common in books. They are usually depicted as emotional and easily let go of their principles when in love, so Fiona Cavendish sounds like one of the great ones. I'll skip this one because romance isn't my cup of tea.

This is an amazing review. I liked the part where the reviewer said that the book goes into detail about the true meaning of love. I love romance novels and wouldn't mind reading this book.

It is not only for entertainment purposes but to inform readers of the true meaning of love, especially the love that can survive the test of time and beat the worst of storms.
Wonderful review; I enjoyed reading your take-away from this book. Although I am not typically drawn to the romance genre, it is clear many readers will enjoy this book as you did.

Wait Fiona and Philip find love in each other but still don't know how they feel about each other? Love just sounds complicated. Am actually not a big fan of romance novels though but congrats on the book of the day

It seems that this love story of Philip and Fiona must overcome many barriers. However, it is identifiable since it usually happens. A romance reading that also offers you teachings such as integrity and values is striking.

Historical romance is one of my guilty pleasures in a book, and this one seems like it would deliver. The excerpt is setting up a nice storyline for romance as well as some trials and tribulations. The only thing that did annoy me was the very beginning setting out the character relationships was repetitive until the author seems to get into the flow of the storyline itself.

There's a lot going on at the premise of this novek, but this feature is also what makes this an intriguing read. The idea of a woman having to accept help from a man she abhors because she needs to survive is fascinating. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

It is not often I will pick up romance books, but this review left me intrigued and interested in the story of Fiona and Philip. I look forward to finding out about all the twists and turns their love story takes.
