Nice review. But I'm not a fan of historical novel and plus the review said there are two series already ahead of it. I don't want a situation whereby I will get confused by starting to read in a non chronological order.

When I first heard of the title of this book, I found it a little familiar. This is because I have encountered one of the novels that precede this story. I'm a bit spoiled because this is the third book of the series, but I'm not bothered because I haven't really read the first two books. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

I would love to read the other two books in the series. Based on the sample pages, if they are as interesting as this one seems, then there is much to look forward to. Love your review. It is insightful.

I love how this review is structured, a presentation of facts from the book grabbing a reader's interest in wanting to explore them. It's very action paced, it's like watching a trailer for a movie. I am definitely interested in reading about this rescue mission.

It's great that the book stands on its own. Reading all books in a mystery series frankly doesn't seem worth the trouble to me. I like the idea of a thriller that is also historical fiction. Thank you for the great review.

The plot is intriguing and the characters are well developed. I am curious to know more about the adventures that took place in the jungles of Malaysia. I wouldn't mind exploring the other books in the Warramunga series. Wonderful review. Congratulations on BOTD.

Thanks for the great review. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. I could tell from the sample that it is well-written, but it's not really my kind of book, so I'm going to pass. It's nice that friends do come to the rescue of each other. Also, good that this book can be standalone.

The plot is quite intriguing, though I'm not a fan of historical-fiction with a war involved. I like book series that can read as a stand-alone. Thank you for the nice review.

Thanks for your review. It seems Jamie and Jacko are still in action and being together in this third book as well.

I’m happy to see you thought it stood out on its own from the previous two books in the series. I also liked that as a reader you were able to find joy in the new vocabulary the book introduced from other regions. I love language so that’s a true plus for me too.

I'm usually not into historical fiction, and I haven't read much that concerns the genre. The most I've read is some myths and legends but I never encountered anything that concerns kidnapping and theft. This might be the first one.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review!

An interesting historical fiction that sheds light on the culture and environment of people in Tropical Asia. But also offer an intriguing story plot. Congrats on being BOTD.

A very informative review. I love the way it captures the book without giving anything away! I think this one will be added to my must read list.

This was a great review! I appreciate the detailed summary along with your opinions. I was hesitant to read this considering I haven’t read one of the book in the series. But now hearing that this book stands on its own makes me reconsider.
