I love memiors, as to me, there is always something to learn from it. I can't wait to see what Allison's story teaches me and I really hope it has a happy ending. She seems like a very strong woman and that I admire already. Thanks for a great review.

The book has a lot important themes. It features family, betrayal, love and would teach one on how to respond to life when everything seems to be going wrong. Nicely written review. Congratulations on BOTD.

I like the religious undertones in this book. The discussion about Taiwanese culture and the Church of Latter Day Saints is also refreshing. Thanks for the review.

Wow! I just read the first three chapters!
Thank you for your great review. You have certainly captured the deep essence of the feelings and emotions of the author.
We can all find ourselves in these same situations in life and would welcome help too.

A pain filled life that was saved by Gods grace. This is a great review. I too learned a lot about their culture, but I also was reminded that people all over the world have very similar experiences.

This memoir is about Allison who went through very trying times while growing up with her sister. It also teaches us the value of Christianity.

A book that touches hearts. The author's story shocked me but, at the same time, made me admire her strength to overcome. I'm definitely interested in reading this book to know how she has managed to face each problem.
Allison's story makes you appreciate much more the people who are part of your life.

It seems like a faith-based memoir that looks into the journey of an immigrant in finding love and peace. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

Just reading the review, I already hate Cameron. I hope that a better companion has been presented to Allison. I hope a better partner has come to Allison. A round of applause for Uncle Liu for being the father he never had. The theme of religion catches my attention, so I'll think about reading it.

Allison Hong is a young Taiwanese girl who has a saddening life experience and never feels a parent's love. Her struggled leads her to meet her loved, Cameron, an American young man. I think this story is very touching, and the romance readers will love it. Thank you for your nice review.

I hope that Allison and her sisters, who all deserve good in their lives, will finally find it! Allison suffered so much, then found what she thought was happiness only to be cheated once again. I hope she will find her joy in the end. Thank you for your great review!

It’s horrible that the author had to suffer in her relationships with her parents and her husband. At least she found love in the people from religion, something I can appreciate even though I’m not religious myself. I hope that everything turned out well for the author, and I applaud her on sharing her story. Thank you for the helpful review.

The author experienced so much in her life. Growing up without parents is hard but growing up with parents who blames and neglects you is harder. I hope she found the peace and happiness at the end. Congrats on BOTD!!

I have never really enjoyed reading memoirs, but this book sounds amazing. It feels authentic, genuine, and raw and that is all you can ask for from a memoir.
