I agree. I believe I would notice something had changed. Thanks for your comment!

Tara D Morgan wrote: 05 Oct 2022, 13:02 Interesting question. I think if I woke up in a different body with only that persons memories I wouldn't know that I had ever been me. I pondered this for a while before answering and it got me thinking about my Dad who had a major stroke last year. Everything was affected, including his motor skills and his short and long term memory. I show him photos of what life was like before and he is very interested but forgets anything we've talked about almost straight away and he doesn't recognise himself in photos or remember the occasion. I imagine waking up in a different body with that persons memories would be very similar!
I think so too. You would know something was amiss but just couldn't figure out what precisely! Thanks for commenting. I hope your dad improves.

That sounds very logical! It is a hard question to answer! Thanks for the response!
It is a hard one to answer! Part of me would want to remember because I love my life now, but the other part thinks “if I could remember, then I would never be happy since I would always be wanting my previous life and not the one that I woke up to,” which then leads to the question - would you want to remember if you could?
Yes, I would probably ask myself where my memories went! I think I would know if I woke up in someone else's body with their memories.
Who knew such a seemingly simple question could provoke so many thoughts!

The question is very dicey as you can't tell whether you still have your memories or just that of the new body. So to answer the question, The real me is my spirit which definitely has my old memories so I could notice the difference, especially if there's a change in gender. Also every spirit knows it's vessel and would have a wierd feeling even if I don't remember who I was. There would be a difference and struggle within me to find out which memories are actually mine and which isn't.

If you adopt someone else's memories, then you will be that person. You won't remember the previous you. Because there are no memories of your old self in the new you.

That is probably true! This is like a riddle! A mystery we will never be able to answer exactly. Thanks for commenting.

This question is very deep. But I will answer it this way: I will not notice a difference because an emergency operation was carried out on me in my unconscious state; I wasn't conscious as to notice the shift in body and memory.

I think I would be alert and aware of what is happening with my body and my thoughts. I would certainly witness the circumstances around me knowingly or unknowingly.

Maybe it would be like one of those deja vu moments. Things seem familiar yet you can't remember ever being where you are! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

At first I thought the obvious answer was that I would recognize a difference. But the more I think about it, the more I am unsure if I would. Both our memories would become an amalgamation that would be difficult to differentiate.

Yes, I would. I am the product of my history, thoughts, and memories. So if I would wake up with those things gone, I would ask myself who am I. That question I think would bug me forever because now I will have to start over to make new memories.
