I tried t review a few different books. I pressed the 'submit' button on the respective pages but nothing happened.

Was something supposed to?

Do I get an email at some point with a link to download the book?

How does this work?

This seems like some kind of error. I have taken a quick look at the software involved but haven't noticed anything that would cause a problem. Can you walk me through exactly what happens?

What format are you trying to download the book in?

At what step in the following process do you have the trouble:

1. Click book title on Review Team Page to see request details
2. Click button that says "Review this book" on the request details page
3. Select format and click button that says "submit format selection"

What happens when you click the button? Does the page reload? Do you get any kind of error message?

What browser are you using?

I'm using chrome.

No format options appear.

When I click submit, nothing happens. No refresh, nothing.

On which step is that 2 or 3?

In any case, I have modified the script to generate an error message in the event that someone completes step 2, clicks the button that says "accept this review opportunity" and then the page reloads into the format selection page on which the button says "submit format selection" but there are no formats available to choose. This won't exactly solve the problem for you, but will generate an error message and report rather than webpage just doing nothing if you get stuck on step 3.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/scotthug/public_html/forums/review-team/view-request.php on line 2

Yes, that's only shown up since you changed it though.

This has been fixed.

Okay, the other problem then is that the review request shows up at all. It shouldn't be listed in the table of available reviews if there is no format in which it is available to review.

I see the likely problem. It seems if someone hasn't set their preferences, the various different available formats aren't checked against their wouldbe preferences and thus at no point is it uncovered that the book is not available in any formats. This was an oversight on my part, but I have fixed it by now requiring that preferences be set before the table of available reviews can be seen. This will also help ensure reviewers do not accidentally chose a book that is only in formats unavailable to them (e.g. a Nook user choosing a book that is only available on Amazon or a Kindle user choosing a book only available on Barnes and Noble).
