This is the funniest quote from the October book of the month, The Boy who Lived with Ghosts.

"It is absolutely not my fault that there is no warning on the packet about the dangers of putting a small bomb in the end of someone's cigarette." (p. 227)

-- 09 Oct 2013, 08:13 --

One of my favorites of all time:

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women, merely players."
(As You Like It, II.7)

Life is like a game of cards
Each one has to learn
Each shuffles cuts and draws his hand
And each a trump must turn
Some turn a high card to the top
While others turn a low
Some turn a high card to the top
While others turn a low
Some show hands that flush a trump
While others none can show
When hearts are trumped we play for love
Ah, love is a right card
When diamonds trump we stake our gold
And play it for wealth and power
When clubs are trumped look out for war
We find at last a spade turns up
To dig each players grave.

Murray K. Hill

This quote struck a cord with me considering the turbulent changes my country has gone through in the past 3 years. However, It rings true in any country as it boils down the sad reality of how the electoral system truly works.

‘Often I’ve thought of myself as a state; a country or, at the very least, a city. It used to seem to me that the different ways I felt sometimes about ideas, courses of action and so on were like the differing political moods that countries go through. It has always seemed to me that people vote in a new government not because they actually agree with their politics but just because they want a change. Somehow they think that things will be better under the new lot. Well, people are stupid, but it all seems to have more to do with mood, caprice and atmosphere than carefully thought-out arguments. I can feel the same sort of thing going on in my head. Sometimes the thoughts and feelings I had didn’t really agree with each other, so I decided I must be lots of different people inside my brain.’ - Iain Banks

Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.
