I'm not sure if it was The Lord of the Rings (+appendices), The Count of Montecristo, or the Bible.

I think the two longest books I've read was Gone with the Wind and The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. I'm planning on reading Atlas Shrugged by Rand eventually and also the last two books of the LOTR trilogy soon. I'd also like to read City of God by St. Augustine of Hippo, but that will be a job and will take some time. My edition is 1091 pages.

Whichever book in the Harry Potter series is the longest. I believe its Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

I didn't check the page count but going by the thickness it would have to be The Stand by Stephen King.

Mine was Breaking Dawn at 754 pages, and I think I read it in a full day or two I was so wrapped up in the story I'm not sure if I remembered to eat or not.

Apart from the LOTR trilogy, The Glass Bead Game by Herman Hesse comes to mind, even though it was just over 500 pages. It is not an easy read, though, perhaps that's why it felt longer.

It was called Swan Song, about 900+ paperback pages. It was a good sci-fi read, and worth the time. Inside it was divided into two parts, and would have been easier to hold if it was in two separate books.

I also read Under the Dome and It, but I think Stephen King's Insomnia was longer (I could be wrong - it has been several years since I read it). The longest non-fiction is The Bible.

I started to read one called Varney the Vampire a while back, but never got very far into it. It was something like 12,000 pages long.
