I'm more prone to headaches when reading in a car but I've never been truly car sick.

It is not advisable to read in a moving vehicle. Better listen to audiobooks or music while inside a car.

Yes! I not only get sick when reading paper backs or my Kindle but I can't even look at pictures in a magazine or anything! I get headaches and nausea every time. I hate when I have a long trip and I'm in the middle of a book and have to wait to read it. Most of the time I put the cold a/c on high and blow it right in my face and I read as long as I can before I start feeling bad. Pretty pathetic I know but when I find a good book it's really hard for me to put it down even for a second.

I don't have that problem. Maybe take some crackers and Gingerale with you. Helps with nausea.

I have to really focus on my phone or book in order for to not get motion sickness. If i glance up and look at the road to see where we are and then look at my phone or book I will get nauseous and then have to stop reading for a while and usually if I can I will try to take a nap and then pick up reading again.

I also can't read in the car, so prefer to enjoy the view and the company.

Motion sickness is such a bummer! Long trips would have been better if only I could read while traveling. Unfortunately, I've tried it over and over hoping that I'll get the hang of reading while riding in a car, but to no avail. I end up trying not to throw up and taking meds for migraine.

I get motion sickness when I read while the car's moving. What I do is keep the book on hand, when stuck in traffic, I read. When the car moves, I stop. I'm thinking on trying out audiobooks, but I get easily distracted.

I get sick when reading in the car! But it helps to read for a while, stop look up or around for a few minutes and if your stomach or head is ready, get back to reading!

Don't worry, you are not alone, a few minutes reading in a car, i get nauseous too, however, not on planes. I think that it is because your brain keeps fixing on the movement outside the window.

Oh my goodness, I get so sick when I read in the car! It upsets me so much that I can't read in the car, especially on a long car ride. Sometimes I can get away with reading if I recline my seat, but if I am sitting up I get queasy! YUCK.

I try to read in the car as sparingly as possible. I get SOOOOOOO sick when I try to. If I even so much as bend down to grab something on the floorboard or in the stow while we're moving, I'm ready to lose it the whole trip... I knew a girl who never went on a trip without a book, and never arrived at any place without having hurled at least twice...
