Review of Rememberance by Jude Deveraux

Post by K-katastrophe3 »

Hayden Lane is a bestselling romance writter, who suddenly becomes obsessed with writting about one of her fictional characters. In her obsession she forgets about things in life like her fiance, who proceeds to break off the engagement due to her lack of interest. Only when she recieves an invitation to his wedding does she realize how bad she is. To solve this she goes to a palm reader to find out more about this obsession. She then finds out this is someone she knew in a past life of Lady de Grey, but is warned not to investigate into it further. But Lane cannot resist the temptation of discovering who this man she is obsessing about is. So she decides to go to a hypnotist to remember Lady de Grey's memories, but something goes wrong, instead of remembering the memories, Lane is immersed into de Grey's life, living it. It is then she learns more not only about her own past lives but also that of her "fictional" character and why she is so drawn to this guy. Magic, curses, and love, just the adventure she was looking for.

The beginning of this novel drew me in. It starts off in first person, and endears you to this Hayden Lane. Telling you her story herself and how she might sound crazy. This book is broken into four seperate parts, part two holding the majority. Though id felt that part three and four might have been better to be combined.

Lane travels through time from 1994 to 1571, only to find such tragedy in these lives. An unbreakable bond formed, but betrayal from misunderstanding, words in angery and broken vows. I found this story unpredictable and full of surprises. Jude Deveraux has a great imagination, I was so caught up in the book I felt like I was living it myself.

This is a book I would recommend to everyone. It is heart-breaking, yet full of love and laughter. Don't pass this opportunity up!

I read this book several years ago and loved it. I bought it again a few months back and read it again. I love it as much now as I did before. Have you ever read A Knight in Shining Armor? Its wonderful as well.

I read "Rememberance" many years ago. It is an awesome time travel romance novel.....one that, to this day, remains on my keeper list. I also read, "A Knight in Shining Armor." It too is an awesome time travel romance novel. These two books are, without a doubt, two of the best time travel romance novels I've ever read.....and I've read a lot.

I just finished reading "A Knight in Shining Armor" by Jude Deveraux and would recommend it. It is fast read and keeps you wanted to know what happens next. Even though this was published in 1989, I would get a copy!
