Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure is a family book really, with lots of family adventures, love and losses brought about by death, and there's life lessons in this book.

Not sure I like the concept, at one hand it is important to educate the children about such things, but on the other hand I can't help the feeling that subjects like disability and religion are a bit too serious. I might be wrong, but children's book should be more fun, in my opinion.

This is an interesting inspirational children's book highlighting family going off to do missionary work, family, solving mysteries, and making new friends. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

Another book that teaches us how to handle kids with special needs, this is amazing! A new environment can lead to new adventures such as new friends and fun activities even though sometimes it comes with the fear of unknown. We also learn that new environment also come with challenges of meeting new people who may not understand us the way we would like. Such a great book it seems.

The book sounds interesting and addresses very serious topics like bullying and treating children with special needs. And it is really important that the book shows how to handle a bully. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Moving to a new place is not an easy thing to cope with. I'm glad for Donny and Mary Grace had adjusted themselves well while having their adventures in California. It also adds to the challenge for Donny having special needs, I applaud Mary for helping her brother. This book may be for children but I think all ages would like this book. As I also like to read it too. Thank you for the wonderful review.

Congrats on BOTD!
How much material is included in this book is evident from the synopsis in the review! The plot involves their upbringing with their parents, relocation to California, numerous adventures, surviving bullying, and more! For a pupil in the latter half of primary school, it is undoubtedly a good read.

This is a great inspirational book with kids as the main characters. It follows the story of a family after its broken up in two and the kids move to California to live with their grandparents. I wonder what adventures they live out in their new home. Congrats on the BOTD!

A nice children's book "Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure" by Catherine A. Pepe, which follows the time spent together by ten-year-old Mary Grace Miller, her brother, Donny, her parents, and Miller family. A nice book to enjoy.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Very thorough review! Even though the inspiration came from a real brother with Down syndrome, this book is set in nowadays America and the issues are contemporary -such as bullying. Besides, readers find out more about how to treat a child with special needs and how superbly positive such a child can be.

This seems like an endearing story about childhood and its many challenges. I would love to read from the child's perspective. Sounds both fun and insightful.

This was very inspirational, my favorite part of this story is, how Mary Grace Miller survived the bullying of Jason even though she was not with her parents, I like the character of Mary Grace, she is easily indulged with everyone.
