The Kite Runner as a film?

Post by CollegeReader »

Hope this is in the right forum - moderator, feel free to move this thread if not ...

I saw The Kite Runner being sold in Starbucks with a sign that said it had been made into a film coming out in November. Has anyone heard anything about this?

For those who have read this book, what are your thoughts about it being made into a movie?

well i have read kite runner and i don't think that it is going to make a very good movie. i have all of these scenes in my mind and they could never do any justice to it on film.

I read the book and saw the movie this fall. The movie is true to the book. I think they did a great job. The movie is rated PG-13. It should be rated R. Some of the scenes are so upsetting, even for an adult!

I haven't actually read the book yet so I don't know how to compare it but the film left me haunted for days. I didn't really connect with the lead actor (as an adult) but the story was absolutely heart-wrenching.

I haven´t read the book, but I did half watch the film one day when I was at work and it didn´t make sense to me! I will have to read the book so I can better understand the movie or re-watch it1
