When selecting a book to read, my usual criteria revolve around its rating, unless the storyline truly engrosses me.
How do you typically make the decision on which book to read next?

I often read book reviews in my local online newspaper. If the reviewer is enthusiastic that will motivate me to try a new author. Also I have lots of book-reading friends and we talk to each other about what we are reading and whether we are enjoying it. A personal recommendation is a good way to find new books to red.

I rely on recommendations as well as the reviews on it. I once fell in love with a book only to find out that the content of the book was not as good as the cover posed.
