A blend of romance and medicine, I'm really intrigued. The addition of culture makes it more captivating. Congratulations on BOTD!

I find jargon unpalatable in fiction, not in and of itself, but because communicating it effectively is beyond many authors. I'm wondering what Rory"s mother's problem is, although that's probably not enough to make me read this book.

I have read this book and loved it! Rory is a very interesting combination of intelligence and ambition. The continuous struggle to prove to her mother that she CAN is what fuels her way.

This book has a very interesting storyline. Will Rory choose love or family? I like medical terms books and this one is even more interesting because it's a romance story. I can't wait to see how this story will end

"The White Coat Effect" by L. B. Wells, initially did not strike me as something I would like to read. Having read a large sample of the book, I may read it after all. I agree with the reviewer on many points after what I've read. The mixture of romance and medical terminology makes for an interesting read. And the book is well written by an author that knows how to write to sustain interest. And the collision of two very different backgrounds in Rory and Amir, her Jewish and he Muslim adds a wrinkle to the plot. Having read she attended Yeshiva prior to an elite private school clearly contributes to her identity, along with a distant father and hyper-critical mother. Great review! Enjoyed your well written synopsis and analysis. Cudos to the author for BOTD!

This book sounds intriguing. I wonder what will come of Rory and Amir and whether they can survive the familial, work and cultural pressures. I'll check this book out.

Sounds like a very interesting book discussing conflicts in a relationship due to jobs and religion. This happens often and young people have a choice to make. I'm curious to read this and find out what their choice was. Thank you for your review.

This forbidden romance between a med student and a resident could be intriguing for people who enjoy romance books or are in the field of medicine. However, it's not something I would read.

This book is such a radical approach to social norms. I loved the culture shock and how they loved amidst all the tension for the sake of love. Its truly such an awe inspiring and romantic that kept me turning the page.

This is interesting. A secret love relationship between a student and a resident and not just a problem of the medical line but a cultural incompatibility as well.
This would be a fun read for me.

Normally, I am more inclined to read classical romance novels and am very cautious with modern examples of the genre due to extensive explicit content. But while reading the reviews, almost despite myself, I got interested in this story. It sounds quite a lot more sophisticated than your ordinary "bodice reaper" and I thankfully accept your gift!
