Sometimes, limits are boundaries that we have intentionally or otherwise created in our mind. Thus we need every form of motivation to break those imagined limits. Get Billy Jones's Father

I really enjoy books that support youth being involved in sports. Of course it should be a safe and productive environment. Congratulations on book of the day!

I hope Arnold’s son either turns out to be good at sports or Arnold will not pressure him. This sounds like a nice book to read especially if one is into sports. Thanks for your review!

Scotty Jones sounds like an awful person, and I like how you hinted that he gets what he deserves. Bullying by coaches of athletes is a worldwide issue, and it's great to see a book bring this subject to light.

I enjoy how the book highlights the risks of steering children in directions that are better suited for the parents. Even something the child enjoys might feel like a burden in this scenario.

Great review! Bravo! I'm definitely interested in this one, and I've added it to my WTR list!

Set in Torrid Hills, NC, today's BOTD is a novel based on a true story about relationships and expectations...and how the results of both affect one's decisions and emotional health as adults. It draws awareness to the complications that arise in organized sports, especially in towns where coaches and players are kings and sports rule over everything else. Thank you again for an awesome review! :-)

I'm not a sports fan, but I would read this book for the benefit of the children. They are our precious future.

Congrats on BOTD!
This review is excellent and perfectly depicts the spirit of Billy Jones's Father and the Apple Tree. Arnold's attempts to interrupt the loop and the revelation of Scotty's aggressive behavior heighten the story's suspense and emotional impact.

The plot of the book "Billy Jones's Father And the Apple Tree" by Fred Engh takes place in the town of Torrid Hills. War veteran Scotty Jones constantly belittles his son Arnold. Later, Arnold himself with his son Billy is tempted to become, in the upbringing of his son, the same as his father was to him.

This book based upon true stories about the physical, emotional, and verbal abuse endured by youth athletes in the town of Torrid Hills, North Carolina. It focuses on the family dynamics of the Jones family across the years. I could relate because I have witnessed this type of abuse and the seen the effects it has on the lives of young children. This is a great wake up call for parents and coaches involved in youth sports. This was a great book review! Well done!

It is a good thing for parents to support and encourage their children. However, when a parent or a coach becomes abusive or emotionally or physically attacks a child for not performing well enough, it causes a lot of heartache.
Thank you for an excellent review.

A sports enthusiasts and coaches focussed book "Billy Jones's Father" by Fred Engh, which recounts a series of events that unfolded in the town of Torrid Hills, where parents want to get their children into sports. I want to read this book.

The story in the book is very relatable. I think many childhood traumas are fueled by the poor parenting skills of some parents who consistently pressure their children beyond their limits. From the few pages I sampled, the book is worth reading.
