I get lost in books, so I often cry over books with strong emotions. The “Love Comes Softly” series is one I’ve read many times, and I always cry when I read it.

I sure cried for the Harry Potter book but the list doesn't end there. There are so many other books that I have cried whilst reading. I think the last time I cried was when I read Colleen Hoover’s , ‘it starts with us’. The end of an era with the main character’s ex and the beginning of another with the character we all rooted for made me quite emotional.

This is definitely going to make me sound like a sap.

Unpopular opinion, Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover had me sobbing like a baby. This is the only book of hers I enjoyed and I was crying so hard I was hiccuping and snotting. I typically find it hard for a book to release that emotion from me, so color me impressed.

"A Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp, "Here by the Owl" by Evan Peter Smith, "Same Kind of Different As Me" by Ron Hall and Denver Moore, and "Kisses from Katie" by Katie Davis Majors. These are just a few that I could remember, I'm sure there are many, many more.

Colleen Hoover's novels definitely evoke the sobbing baby within me. I read Ugly Love and cried ugly tears by the end!
