Snow or Sun?

Post by Loveabull »

I know some of you live where there is never snow. I remember living in Florida for several years and December was weird. You could wear shorts to shop for a tree. They would bring a dump truck of snow into the park so the kids could play in it. But it was always strange on Christmas day and the air conditioning is still on.

Given a choice I'd live somewhere now where there is no snow...but it doesn't get as hot as Florida either. We just had about 4in and more storms coming...Snow? Heat? What's it like where you are? My biggest fear is ice. There's always a bunch of yahoos who drive faster in bad weather. Parkway had like a sixteen car pileup the other day

I'd pull over and walk home

Sun for me, too. No snow here, but we can get some pretty fierce rainstorms this time of year. No paved roads in our town, we're knee deep in mud after a rainstorm, nothing moves. But it beats snow and ice.

Sunny South Africa and wouldn't trade it for anything :) We do get some freak snow storms in winter, though you couldnt even call it a storm... Never enough snow to even last the day without melting.

We get all 4 seasons here with some snow and really cold in the winter through to nice warm weather in the summer, but given the choice it would be sun sun sun sun for me every time.

And then today it's close to 60 and tomorrow promises 70. As Al Gore, who I'm fond of quoting said..."When it's 70 in December be afraid...be very afraid"...needless to say the customers are flocking...

I don't care too much for snow, but I do like to at least see one really good snowfall during the winter time. Then after that first snowfall I'm done with it.

I've never seen snow so I really would like to see it one day. But I really like the sun. I love the heat that the sun's rays give on your arms and face when you're cold. :)

I grew up with snowy winters so I don't think I could move where there is never any snow

I love snow....
A snowy yard and a fireplace is like a dream for me.
I can't picture not wanting to live someplace with snow .

Snow!!!!! Where I live, it's pretty hot all year round, so I didn't get to see snow till I was about four. It was pure bliss falling over the mounds of white fluffy coldness! I still go skiing every year, but I really wish I could bring snow to where I live... Sigh. There used to be "snow days" where someone would bring a bunch of fake snow in their truck and dump it in the preschool parking lot, but not much anymore. I guess it depends on where you live whether you like snow or sun.
