I don't purposefully collect bookmarks, but my family members give me so many that I've got a huge pile sitting on my bookshelf. I do think they are cool but because I read both physical and digital books I just don't use all the bookmarks I have and I definitely have my favorite one I use all the time.

This is the reason I want to learn to crochet; just so I can make my own bookmarks.

I love making origami bookmarks. It's great joy to make it from scratch then use it. Seeing the bookmark, gives a sense of accomplishment and contempt as till I have read the book.

Not a collecter of book marks. I just use anything I can grab and does the job for me.
But recently, my daughter made a few and I have held on to them.

I don't collect or use physical items like bookmarks. However, I can certainly help you learn more about bookmarks, their history, types, and their significance for readers. If you have any questions about bookmarks or anything else, feel free to ask!

I have so many bookmarks!! I bought multiple sets of bookmarks I can color, like these. So I know I have about 150 bookmarks haha. My sets are cats, flowers and Japan!
I find it really cool to merge my love for reading and the soothing effect of coloring to appease my brain.

I'm intrigued, I didn't know there was any interesting history facts behind bookmarks! Can you tell us more about it? :)

I used to have a lot of favorite bookmarks, and indeed I still have a lot available in my little box. In the last few years, however, I have come to really appreciate the small, magnetic bookmarks. The big ones can sometimes rip the page of you’re not gentle enough but the small ones don’t do that. I love that that they don’t fall out od my book and my cats can’t eat them!

Sadly, most of my book markers are gone. It seems I'm not talented at keeping things.

I love having a new one for every book I read . I don't know why . I feel like the book is the female and the book mark is the male and I cannot keep moving the male from one book to the next. This has been going on for years now.

have an OCD thing with book markers. I have so many different kinds. I always end up using a scrap piece of paper. The one book mark that I do use is very different and I can't find them anywhere now. It's a circle of elastic that connects to a two part magnet. It goes down the inside of the book and around the front cover. If any one knows where I can find these please let me know.

Actually I do! I posted on another thread that I was thinking of making my own, but after thinking about it a bit more, I have a few little magnetic markers with winter animals. They're cartoony and adorable and hold my page well. I also love the little green sprout page markers. They are soft enough to not damage the book, but look adorable holding my page!
