From So Simple a Beginning, it's a collections of Darwins 4 main works, and annotated. I don't know if you could call it all one book because of this, but it's probably around 1800 pages.

one of my favorite stories of my childhood was in intermediate school, our teachers made us set a goal of a minimum 500 pages to read in a semester as my teacher went around the room asking each students goals, 500, 500, 700, 500 was the response from every student. Mine? 25,000. the room went silent and my teacher said, lets start with 5,000.
I responded by reading that in less than a week. My total at the end of the semester was over 33,000 pages. my mother quizzed me on all the books that i had read and i passed with flying colors, asking her several questions about books she had also read with me that she couldn't remember the answers too.

but anyway one of the books i chose to read for this assignment was A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu. With 3,031 pages and the Guinness World Record Holder for longest novel. It was a very difficult book to get through but it was a goal i set for myself to read one of the longest books in the world, and i did it. My teacher was incredibly impressed and used the book as my end of semester final.

Definitely Gone with the Wind. Another one is the autobiography written by Bill Clinton, way too long and written not so well.

Battle Royale, 608 Pages

Unless you count books in series added together, then it'd be a lot more

For me I don't remember the exact book I read that was the longest, but one of them is the last couple Harry Potter books which were 600 pages... I've never read 1000+ pages though... I just get discouraged when I see books that big.
