Series! For some reason when I try to sit and watch a movie, I get super fidgety. When I watch a series I can watch an entire season in one sitting.

I have recently decided I am a limited series kind of gal. Series with really long seasons (looking at you Walking Dead) or really long episode counts (Clone Wars) I find myself zoning out or getting distracted and never circling back to it. I really appreciated that His Dark Materials ONLY lasted three seasons and each season was a single book. That way they didn't 1. Completely butcher a great storyline or 2. try to drag out longer than a plot needed to be (glaring at you Game of Thrones. You broke my heart).

I like that a lot of Kdramas are one season. While I do think some of them probably could have remained great over multiple seasons, such as Crash Landing On You, it's nice that you get a quick wrap up.

I may be biased because I have a real hard time finishing series more than 3 seasons long, but I absolutely love a good, well put-together one sitting movie. Especially longer ones (like 2 1/2 hr - 3hr ones). They’ve got to be my favourite media to consume. I think this is because since they’re stand alone (maybe including a sequel or trilogy now and then), much more thought goes into the writing, acting, and overall quality of the movie. Rather when making a series, you’re required to produce so much more footage so the budget has to stretch and there’s too much filler scenes, overall cheapening the experience. This can be different for limited series though.

My preference varies from time to time in this regard. Sometimes I get bored by the series of episodes and just have a sudden urge to skip it to the end so I that I am able to end my curiosity of what happened in the end!
At times, I am really in the mood of watching something monotonous, just a series of small events taking place, story moving gradually.
I think it depends on the mood, setting and time. Sometimes I watch a season and lose interest in the middle :? It often happens and I don't know why it seems normal to me...

I love a good series especially ones that get turned into movies, I like comparing the book to the movie.

I lean towards watching movies for time efficiency, yet in TV series, characters are extensively developed compared to movies where the hero often takes the spotlight.

I have to say, I really prefer series.

I don't even watch too many movies in recent days but I'm always looking forward to sstarting anither series.

Movies are to short to get me to be invested in most characters which is something I really want to do but a series has the potential to make every character stand out. We can see the backstories of each character, understand all their motivations and truly get to know them as people.
