Although I'm sure the story is interesting to those who are curious about it I personally am not interested in reading it. It is not my genre

From the storyline, it's obvious I won't enjoy the read because of my convictions. However, those that accept such lifestyle will flow with the content of the book. Congratulations on the book of the day and a satisfactory review.

In as much as my personal beliefs are not in tandem which much of the themes of the book It must have been shocking and difficult to accept that she was not Marc but Marci.

I appreciate your honesty. I was enjoying the authors style while reading the sample but it seems the remaining content will not be of interest to me. Although I’m very curious if the first narrator is Marc/Marci… just not enough to deal with the explicit content or editing issues.

This is definitely a must read for anyone who is interested in transgender topics. I like that the author did an extensive research and kept the topic very interesting.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

The book seems to be on transgender themes which is certainly not my type of book to read as it already has its target audience. But I am curious how the romantic part of it plays out.

Judging the book by its cover, this one looks intriguing.
After reading your review I feel that this topic is unrelatable to me. I have not crossed paths with someone who has gone through such situations. My only information are from movies and articles. But I would still like to give it a try and learn some perspectives. Thanks for the detailed no spoiler review.

"Marc Marci" by Larry G. Goldsmith is a captivating book delving into themes of love, romance, and friendship. The narrative highlights the resilience of genuine camaraderie, which can unexpectedly uplift us despite numerous failures. The profound choice of transitioning gender is portrayed as a sincere and significant journey. The transformation of Marc into Marci is particularly intriguing. While the book raises important contemporary questions, personally, I find the lesbian and transgender elements not aligned with my reading preferences. Nonetheless, it's a compelling account of one individual's pursuit of happiness against considerable odds. The narrative's engaging nature makes it hard to set aside, offering both an enjoyable read and a meaningful exploration. Goldsmith's adept storytelling brings the complex topic closer to readers, allowing insight into the challenges faced during such transformations, despite not being my typical genre

In society today there are so many rules and norms that are being questioned. It is important to keep an open heart and mind. Books are one of the ways that societal topics can be evaluated and maybe understood. When coming-of-age some young people find that they don’t fit into the spaces that are prepared for them and they need to find another way to become the happy, productive adult they deserve to become. Some have support of their families and some need to find other friends to support them in their quest. I am glad that "Marc Marci" by Larry G. Goldsmith, is a book that can assist some in their path and this book can also help others understand at least parts of the lives of others.
If you're going through hell, keep going.

This is a sad, but beautiful story. Losing you parents at any age is painful, but for an only child who already feels isolated, it's devastating. Marc is at a crossroads in his life when he meets Gabrielle and Cristina, in love and about to be married, they help on his path of self-realization. His final decision to become the woman that he is inside is monumental. Fortunately, he has his faith and his Uncle Jack to sustain him. I'm anxious to continue reading his story. Thank you for a very insightful review :tiphat:

I enjoyed reading your review; it was well-written and intriguing. I commend the author for bringing up an important topic that is treated as taboo in my countries and societies, even now. I sampled the first chapter and was heartbroken merely imagining Marc's pain at losing his parents at such a young age. I hope he finds his happiness and freedom as Marci in her later years. Congratulations on the BOTD!
