Social media in general has both good and bad in it. It can be very hard for the youth to process all the negativity, hatred, and violence they can find in social media. At the same time, they can also find people going through the same things as they are; they can find good advices, tips, and useful information they might need. Social media just bring the World closer, in the palm of our hands, with all its good and bad in it. In the case of the social and mental issues brought up in this book, social media is probably too overwhelming for someone who is going through mental health issues.

I studied social media in college and the impacts it can have on youth. I think there are good and bad parts to social media, with the bad outweighing the good. Body image issues in younger people has become a larger issue with the use of social media and kids seeing bodies that may be altered without them knowing. Kids are easily influenced and when they see what the “ideal” body type is, they will go to any lengths to achieve that body type even if it is not healthy.

Social media is both good and bad. But recently, I would say it has done more harm than good. The cons outweighs its pros.

I believe that the author portrayed a genuine representation of how social media can both assist and impact young teens. I must confess that prior to reading about Damion's efforts to pay for his mother's medical expenses, I had never considered the idea that social media could have a positive outcome.

Balance is the key. Every coin has two sides. Monitoring the screen activity is very important for parents of young kids if access to social media is absolutely necessary. I personally feel that young kids do not need to use social media at all. They should develop their social skills on other platforms.

Social media has its pros. You can earn money like Damion or interact with other people. Meeting new people can also be a beneficial thing. However, I think its cons outweigh the pros. I find it time wasting and many negative things are learnt from social media. The best thing is to know what side of social media you want to be on. That makes all the difference.

I think the bad thing about social media is when it starts to take over teens' lives, making them wish they were other people, or spending all their time scrolling without any meaningful interactions. I think it's important for them to realise the impact and balance it out with actual hobbies or socialising. This is what can give more meaning to their lives.

It does depend on how one utilizes social media. However, I do believe that the youth are more impacted negatively by what they come across on social media.

I think the author tried to provide a balanced view of social media and hopefully young people who get to read the book can draw their own parallels and make crucial decisions about how to tackle it's influence in their mental health with parental guidance and oversight. Social media can be a useful educational tool but it does have its demerits.

It depends. Social media has both positive and negative effects on youth. It hinders real connections and prevents the youth from doing physical activities. They miss a lot of things and it also brings a sense of insecurity as the social media influencers always look perfect. At the same time, it can help them to get a wider connection and meet people from different cultures. It also opens up new possibilities for them. So social media isn't entirely bad nor is it positive.

There are both positive and negative aspects to social media, and it ultimately depends on how it's used and the level of moderation and awareness in its usage by young people. It's a powerful tool that can have a significant impact, so it's important for young people to use it responsibly and be aware of its potential drawbacks.

Definitely social media has it's positives like paving way for success and creating generational wealth, through Damion I think she was able to highlight the issues well.

Social media does more harm than good to the current youths in society. But it also helps them thrive better than the previous generations

I think social media has it's pros and cons so the real deal lies in using it appropriately, so it really isn't good or bad. It all depends on how it is utilized. I also think the author was able to address the issue properly.

To me, social media has done more harm than good to the youths of the present day. It is quite appalling that parents let this go unchecked.
