I like fiction that is so well written that it becomes a self-help book of sorts; your review suggests that's what this novel is, so I'm keen to read it. Thanks so much for the great review.

Out of the two key aspects of this book that you mention, well developed characters and a conspiracy, it is the latter that would pique my interest if it was described a little in this review. That is not to dismiss the character development for it is obviously important to the theme of friendship.

This is a romance story that portrays the importance of good friends in one's life. The book talks about the story of how James, who became a prosecutor instead of a doctor that his mother wanted him to become, met Beth during her school's annual spring dance, which began the journey of their love story. The book is well-structured and the characters are well developed. Nice review.
