I like reading to keep my mind active, thinking. And learning. I like reading because it takes you some where like a journey. I love reading to learn new things are a topic thats relatable to me or current events. Or things that benefits me that i can use later. But it really a journey and experience but not physically. :D

Like many, reading provides an escape from the stressful and annoying aspects of real life. Reading feels fulfilling in a way that sitting on my phone or watching television ever will.

I cherish reading for the captivating journey it offers into diverse worlds and perspectives. With each book, I embark on adventures, explore different cultures, and gain insights into the complexities of human experiences. Reading is my gateway to empathy, allowing me to step into the shoes of characters and understand their joys, struggles, and triumphs. It's a source of endless knowledge, a way to stimulate my imagination, and a means to escape reality momentarily. Whether it's fiction, non-fiction, or poetry, the written word has an unparalleled ability to transport me to places I've never been and ignite a continuous passion for learning and storytelling.
Even though I avoid a lot of non-fiction because am emotional.

My godmother got me into reading and since then my family has always bought me books. So did all of my friends, so I guess the environment played the biggest role. I also didn't like people around me so it was a great getaway tool.

Reading is fulfilling on multiple levels. I enjoy well- developed characters that give me a glimpse of someone else's thoughts, emotions, and, and motivations. It's interesting and fun to step into their lives and minds as they have experiences I will never have, such as in stories about spies, space travel, or extreme wealth. I am a life-long learner, and enjoy reading articles and books describing new ideas in my field. Reading religious texts is also important to me in my quest to understand myself and others better. Reading prevents boredom when I have to wait. The quietness of personal reading is soothing, but so is the sound of being read to. Audio books count as reading! Reading history helps me better understand world events, and I love having that context when I read news.

I like reading because it helps my mind escape into its own little world. I used to read a lot and write a lot when I was younger and had one of the craziest imaginations ever. Since I got into highschool I stopped reading and writing for my own because it was just a lot of writing and reading for grades, it felt more like a job than a hobby. Recently I picked up reading a writing again and found that my imagination and crestive spark is coming back and I feel like myself again.

No matter where I am in the world, no matter what has happened, I can pick up a book (or go onto my computer) and explore another world. Reading allows me to open my mind to other possibilities - what if? What if this was possible? What if instead of that historical event taking place, another event occurred instead.

That is what I am loving about delving into the fantasy and sci-fi genre. At one point in time, some of those concepts in old-school sci-fi probably seemed impossible, but due to human ingenuity, we have made what seemed impossible, possible. And we know, those great minds must have done some sort of reading!

I love how reading can cause me to re-think my perspective - even if I don't agree with what the author has written, the fact that we have the ability to freely engage in talking about controversial topics, or just every day topics that affect us, all because we love to read, is what makes reading so wonderful!

I don't even remember, because it started as a habit when I was a kid. And I enjoy it, so I don't really think about any reasons. I guess the reason, if I have to mention why, is because it makes me see another point of view.

An individual who does not think about improving and learning new things has practically stopped living. Regardless of how hard you work, there is no justification for not seeking knowledge. Nowadays, listening to books at the gym or even on the subway is possible. I explained well why I like reading.
