Are You a Hat Person?

Post by suzy1124 »

A day w/o a hat on is not a very happy day for me...

Even indoors cause i'm allergic to artificial heat, so i only use it to a bare minimum...........a wool cap keeps me warm..........

I have a penchant for Berets w/coordinated mufflers, scarves...my old fur hats ( reminiscent of Lara in dr, Zhivago )...jockey caps, newsaperboy caps, etc., but never baseball caps, just not my style....

in the summer big " wavy " straw hats, so romantic, i call them " chapeaus " the antithesis of some of these what i call " pimp hats " i see on some celebrities these days, both male and female...

by switching out different colored scarves and placing it over the hat's attached headband,it's as if one hat evolves into MANY...

right now i'm sitting here w/one of those Peruvian " jobs "...ya know the one w/the woolen braids hanging down on each side
looking RIDICULOUS, but oh Sooo warm ( i keep the temp at only 62 degrees )

when we lived in Florida we had matching " Captain's hats "...his and hers for the time spent on our boat, the "QE3 "
trust me it wasn't that big, and because of that lotsa laughs, a great way to meet so many new ppl...whatta HOOT!

And then there were all of the military hats, caps, from my husband's wartime service.....i wore them too.....
I think i'd like to go on Safari just to wear a " Pith " helmet...

So what's your " hat " story? i find that ppl either hate them or love them...........

I only wear hats in winter time. Or if I'm drunk and grab a random Fedora hahaha. But I don't usually wear hats either.

I'm not a hat person.

I wear one very occasionally - I only have one and that is for sun wear, if I am out in sun for long time, like at a sports event or suchlike.

If I am outside and it is cold I just wear the hood of my hoodie, not an actual hat.
(Having said that, our Australian 'cold' is not the snow cold of some other places  )

Actually, my affair w/the Hat was one of " default ".....

Those bad hair days?... no problem at all, just cover it up...

My hair has a life of its own, and i refuse to be held hostage by it...

Good one Suzy. I dont think any professional comics will have to worry about you.

I only wear a hat in the cold weather. Never could stand one in good weather. Like they say, you dont need a roof on an empty barn.

My first wife's family the males were all bald. At a family reunion her one uncle gave a talk, he said this place is easy to find, just look for all the bald heads and he also said you dont need a roof on an empty barn. Some didnt know if he was kidding or not.
