High Heels

Through the hallway door she comes
Her steps light and easy
Though heavy and steady at the same time
The rhythmic tune caused by the cautious movement of the familiar woman
Is sweet enough to blow a serpent off it hiding spot
The swaying breeze comes in sweeping the scent of her perfumed garment just beneath our nostrils

So we all raise our heads to take in 'tah-tah-tah' the sound repeats itself in a smooth pattern
The raised altar of the bottom of the designer shoe works it's magic
She appears taller than tall in her nicely decorated dress
Oh she's stunningly beautiful
Her fragile ankles respond firmly to the manner she walks
In a niche of time she steals the show
We call her the lady at the top
