Do you ever read outside during the summer?

Post by bluetree16 »

One of my favorite activities this summer was taking whatever book I was reading at the time, finding a comfortable spot in one of our trees, and reading for a few hours(or at least until I got sore from sitting in the tree). I just wanted to know if anyone else reads outside, and if so, what other places you read in?

Yes sometimes.

In the winter too (our mild Australian winter, that is - am not recommending anyone sit in the snow to read  )

Cant say I ever sit in a tree to read  - but under my pergola, nice outdoorsy spot overlooking my garden but still in the shade.

I love to read in the shade in the summer. I find it so much nicer to read outside.

I don't anymore, but I used to lay out on a hammock and read for hours during the summer.

I love to read outside. Unfortunately our Dutch summers are very short...(but a fleece blanket can also keep you warm.. if the sun lets you down...)
Bloopers in my spelling or grammar?? A PM will be greatly appreciated... I do (almost) anything to improve my English!

I love to read outside. I remember house sitting one year in high school, and the person had hammocks all over the place. It was great!

Yes! on the lawn, under a tree, by the pool, at the beach... fresh air and a good book - who wouldn't love it?

I love to read outside, mostly just sit in a patio chair with my fan blowing and read for a while.

I enjoy being outdoors and usually spend several hours a day working on line and reading in the gazebo. I can hardly wait for it to get warm enough to be out again.

Oh, yes! I love reading outdoors, especially at my mom's house. Her backyard is like a living fairy tale: lush trees, bushes and flowers; butterflies, deer, squirrels, birds. Wildlife, lots of different areas to sprawl out to read, and a perfectly tranquil atmosphere, totally perfect for summer reading. I've been excited for Wisconsin's harsh winter to end so I can finally get back outside.

I do, sitting on a bench in a park is a wonderful way to enjoy a book. Even better if I'm near water!
