Review of Intercessor
Attorney Jim Hampton was a lawyer, and for his 15 years of practice, he spent time on chemical spills and other disasters in Louisiana. With that behind him, as he has left the firm, he is in New Orleans, staying at George's house while George is away. Something seemed odd and up in New Orleans. A storm might be coming, and this brought unease as people could still remember Hurricane Katrina. After leaving the bar run by Carlos, Jim decided to head over to another bar to get more drinks. There, he met Myriam, a Catholic woman who works at the bar. She invited him to follow her to see her family in Terrebonne Parish the next day, and he accepted. He was on edge about a looming danger and the mysterious atmosphere because he had been told to be careful by two people in one night. Carlos and Myriam.
After accompanying Myriam home, he couldn't help the urge to get another drink at another bar. There, he met Erin and Sheila, who looked like free spirits who wanted some fun. He paid for their drinks and followed them to a supposed party just for the fun of it. But what he met wasn't a party at all but a junkie's apartment, where they wanted him to spend more money on drugs for them. When he refused and tried to escape, Erin said she hoped he would die, along with a woman. That was how what seemed to be tales and nightmares began manifesting. Who was Erin, and what did she mean by her statement? With Storm Anita brewing, are the people of New Orleans safe? Find out when you read Intercessor by John Robert Still.
This story contains a hint of horror that, many times, I wanted to stop, but my curiosity always got the better of me. The ending was surreal, with the dawn of a new understanding. Through this story, we see how many people whom we meet are not mere coincidences but we meet them for different purposes. This book gives hope that even if you are lost or have fallen off your path of faith, there is still a road to lead you back to God. In the midst of a disaster, some found new hope, miracles were witnessed, and lives were changed. The characters were well-developed and felt natural.
Most of the characters were Catholics and gave information on their Catholic faith and the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This should not be a problem for any reader who has an open mind about religion. Reading this book, you will learn some of the many stories that accompany some of the images of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the Catholic faith. What I loved most about the book was the way the author described the environment and events. It had a way of making me feel like I was present in the middle of the events happening.
I totally loved this book and the feeling it gave me after I finished reading it. I did not encounter any errors in it, showing that it was exceptionally well edited. I recommend Intercessor by John Robert Still to readers who love mystery books. It is my pleasure to rate it 5 out of 5 stars because I disliked nothing about it.

This book sounds intriguing! The first part of this review led me to think the book is a horror/thriller, and then, surprisingly, it entails religion and Catholicism. Very interesting review! I am going to check this one out!
