I saw a video of a guy making shrimp tempura and so...I'm gonna try and make some. Found a recipe online that says to make tempura batter you refrigerate all the ingredients before hand to make sure that the batter is as cold as possible to make the tempura as crisp as possible ...wish me luck!

So yesterday I made some beef Oxtail Nilaga, a Filipino beef soup seasoned with fish sauce. But for lunch today, I took some of the meet off the bones and made a hash with some onions and potatoes and seasoned it again with some fish sauce and added a bit of heat with some cayenne. Put that over some rice and it was pretty tasty....but the meat could've been a little more fried today. Next time..

Tonight for dinner I made homemade chicken noodle soup and breadsticks. I finally got a stand mixer, so I’ve been baking as often as I have time!

I was by myself at lunch and I cooked gricia. It is pasta similar to carbonara but without eggs. It is typical Roman :)

Last night I wanted to make the Sweet and Sour Shrimp curry like dish from Selena +Chef episode with Padma Lakshmi, but I didn't have a whole bunch of the ingredients...So I subd in some curry powder for the fennel and cumin, omited the preserved lemons, dried apricots, and cilantro, used onions instead of shallots. It was still really tasty.

Here is the recipe that I modified.

Just cooked up some lamb just seasoned with salt to have with some left over Indian currys we picked up a couple of days ago...the best way to have left overs is with more protein added.🫠

This is an awesome thread. @Cristiano Bellucci - I am googling gricia, carbonara is delicious as is virtually all Roman food I have ever tried!

I made chicken cutlets in crock pot with cream of chicken soup, French onion soup mix and a little milk, and added mashed potatoes and broccoli carrot slaw. Kid friendly food!
