Where do you get your name?

Post by sissybear »

I was reading the post "Characters with your name" and it got me to wondering where people got there name :D Like if they got it from a book or a movie! For me I got my name from a song that my mother liked :D

I wasn't really named for any special reason. My parents liked being different so my first name is Drew which is quite rare for a female. My middle name Anne is sort of special because it's my aunts middle name as well.

I was named after Gary Cooper. My Dad was a big fan of his, he saw him in The Lou Gherig story and wanted me to be a baseball player. Never happened tho.

My name was chosen when my sister, in the hospital, heard someone yell out, "Jacob!". And that's that. My middle name comes from my uncles first name.

I was called after my granddad, but they turned it into a female name.

@gali isn't my name, just a nick name I chose for this forum.

My name comes from The Paperchase... My dad went to Law School because of this movie, and he just happened to have the same last name as one the characters, so I got the character's full name as well!

My mother told me that my father wanted to name me "Henriella" since his name is Henry, but one day she watch "The legend of Zena" and heard my name which is Gabrielle.

When people learned my real name they asked me this a lot. I have three names, my mom is funny that way and I sometimes think she likes to punish me when I'm starting school, My first name is a zodiac sign, the second is a Christian festival commemorating the resurrection of Christ and the third is the time of day when I was born. It's pretty long.

I dont know where my mom got the name Laci but my middle name, Mae, is passed down from my great grandmother. It's become a family name for us girls. Luckily I'm the only one with Mae. All of my cousins male children all share the same middle name, Clay.
