This is a book to read for everyone going through a challenge in life. This is because the way Lea was able to adapt to the changes and make a great transformation is amazing. Parental separations are always difficult on children, but I admire Lea's character here. Nice review.

Thank you for the great review. No child deserves to witness their parents divorce because honestly the process is usually nasty and traumatizing. I think this book will encourage most of the young youth who are having the same issues in life.

This seems like an amazing story even if I am not part of the targeted audience and it could take them back to their younger years. Thank you for making such an amazing review, specially about her adventure during the summer since that's what made me want to read the book. Even if it's seems the situation of Lea may be sad,it's the reality of some children so this is definetily the perfect match for someone younger.

Lea may not have found the change easy, but I hope that stepping into adulthood brought some fun.

Title: SandPeople
Author: Cheryl Kerr
Genre: Mystery/Thriller

SandPeople by Cheryl Kerr is a heart-pounding mystery that had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. As a fan of the genre, I was immediately drawn to the atmospheric setting and the complex characters that populate the pages of this gripping novel.

The story takes place in the remote town of Desert Pines, where the discovery of a body in the sand dunes sends shockwaves through the community. The protagonist, Detective Jane Harper, is a tenacious investigator with a troubled past. Kerr does an excellent job of bringing Harper to life, with her flaws and vulnerabilities making her a relatable and compelling character. I found myself rooting for her as she navigated the treacherous twists and turns of the case.

One of the strengths of SandPeople lies in the diverse and intriguing cast of characters that Kerr has created. From the eccentric local artist known for his macabre sculptures to the enigmatic recluse living on the outskirts of town, each individual adds depth and complexity to the narrative. I enjoyed trying to decipher their secrets and untangle their hidden motivations, which kept me guessing until the very end.

Kerr's writing is atmospheric and evocative, painting a vivid picture of the harsh desert landscape that serves as a backdrop to the story. The sense of isolation and desolation is palpable, adding to the overall sense of unease and mystery. The pacing is superb, with the tension steadily building as the investigation unfolds, leading to a climactic and satisfying conclusion.

SandPeople is a compelling mystery novel that will keep readers hooked from start to finish. With its well-drawn characters, atmospheric setting, and a plot full of surprising twists and turns, it is a must-read for fans of the genre. Cheryl Kerr has crafted a thrilling and captivating story that will leave readers eagerly anticipating her next work.

I can tell the book is worth it because of the perfect OBC rating. Lea's separation from friends and home makes an excellent plot line. I would want to give it a try soon. Congrats!

I love that the author wrote about a bit of historical fiction that was both educational and exciting. I would love to read about how Lea got to transform over the summer.

After reading a few pages, I assumed the book was about family dynamics and coping. However, after reading the review, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there is much more to it. Thank you for the wonderful sneak peek into the book. Congratulations on BOTD.
