Would the Bible count in this instance?

I've realized (during a very heated debate) that I have little first hand knowledge of scripture. Regardless of any spiritual beliefs, reading such an iconic text would definitely be a personal accomplishment.

In fact, reading Paradise Lost by John Milton as part of a university assignment was eye-opening in terms of the place of the Bible and of religious text in canonical literature.

I really recommend you do! I read Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island and Anne of Windy Poplars and I loved them! I plan to read the others. I've liked Anne's character very much since I was a child, because there's a lovely anime series based on Anne of Green Gables. It is an excellent adaptation. I also recommend it to you. Its original name is Akage no Anne and I'll leave here two "trailers" (maybe I'll create a post about this adaptation):

I find it really difficult to not be forever adding to my list! But, as I can't resist, I have just got back from the library with:

Hidden, by Casey Hill (which is a pseudonym of a husband and wife team - should be interesting to see if there are any similarities to Nicci French!)

Creep, by Jennifer Hillier - psychological thriller

The Burning Air, by Erin Kelly - I had read a great review of this by a trusted reviewer, so HAD to pick it up!

Happy reading to you all

The next book I'm going to read is Romeo and Juliet or The Great Gatsby. I'm looking forward to both.

Realizing we're going to be snowed in on and off for quite awhile I wisely gathered books this week

His Way- Kitty Kelly
Gossipy tell all about Frank Sinatra

Why Dogs Hump and Bees Get Depressed-Marc Bekoff
The science of animal intelligence and emotion

The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid-Bill Bryson
I don't know what it's about yet but I've read all his other books

The Long Run-Matt Long
Man gets run over by bus, heals eventually, and becomes a kick butt athlete, sounds inspiring

Oh and I'm still reading "The Dog Who Danced"
" The writer must write what he has to say, not speak it."
