Wow! This novel looks thrilling and very interesting. The story line looks fire. Killing your husband for insurance looks like it would make a good plot. Congrats to the author on book of the day!

The review provided valuable insights. The plot, which revolves around wives conspiring against their husbands and orchestrating their deaths, is particularly intriguing, especially given that the book draws inspiration from real-life stories. I'm eager to immerse myself in the book and uncover more details.

I appreciate your thoughtful review of The Wicked Wives. You summed up the twisty plot and memorable characters so well. I agree the author did an excellent job making you feel immersed in 1930s Philadelphia, from the gritty politics down to the cars on the street.

I appreciate your point about many characters not being likeable. It's fascinating how villains captivate us in stories, particularly when authors craft such compelling portrayals of these characters.

The story is really well written, I think the title didn't do it enough justice.

"The Wicked Wives" sounds like an absorbing tale. Women conspiring with a tailor to commit murder crimes just to get insurance money has caught my attention. While it is a true story, I am looking forward to reading it. Nice review.

Congrats on BOTD!
The genuine event that inspired this tale. How clever the plot is! I enjoy reading historical fiction, especially that which is set in the early to mid-1900s, since it defies the stereotype of 'beautiful housewives fretting over their husbands while wearing aprons'. A delicious, gripping novel.

The Wicked Wives is quite a unique story with a unique theme. There are wives in this world who are not worth having. I'd like to read this book but not with a biased mind of course.

What a shocking story based on true events! Back in the 1930's, seventeen wives got away with adultery and murder to cash in on their husbands' insurance money. Decades later, they finally were convicted, all because of an eight year old boy who eavesdropped on their conversation and became obsessed with finding out more when he became a trial lawyer. I'd love to read this book! Thank you for the compelling book review.

The reader is immediately drawn in by Gus Pelagatti's The Wicked Wives, which begins with a chapter on Lillian and Reggie and ends with Reggie's death. The excellent review does a great job of summarizing what this book is about. Since it is based on true events, I am more interested in it. This is now on my TBR. Kudos to the writer.

We go into great detail about each woman's past to help you comprehend her motivations. Despite the fact that money is the main factor, each woman has unique issues. Eva, for instance, was heavily indebted to a mob bookie and suffered from a gambling addiction. Congrats on BOTD

A verifiable fiction novel in view of a genuine story sounds captivating! Housewives independently enlist the neighborhood designer to kill their spouses to get the protection cash. How terrible! Those spouses are mischievous! What's more, to think it depends on a genuine story! It is great that each history is depicted exhaustively, that the characters are all around drawn, and the speed is quick. That the creator illustrated the region is another reward. Much thanks to you for the wonderful survey. I'm happy you delighted in it. :)

I wonder the boys or men who are going to read this will never marry or simply won't have a insurance that could kill them. Literally!!. :lol2: kidding. Amazing review!!. Such delicate way of describing the book. And history where women are actually wicked as the title suggest! :techie-studyinggray:
