1) Reading books increases my knowledge.
2) It improves my vocabulary.
3) I can use my own imagination to picturize the scenarios.
4) It's fun to read

I agree with her. But for the most part, I just enjoy seeing the characters grow and have their happy ending, or perhaps learn from tragic ones. Also, it takes my mind of things too.sleepydumpling wrote: ↑19 Aug 2007, 21:58 I read for two reasons...
1) To escape. I love being transported to another time or place. I love that feeling of seeing or doing or experiencing something different.
2) To see things from a different perspective. I love a book that makes me think and shows me things from other people's perspectives.

I agree with both members. Reading just allows for you to unplug who you are and plug into literally anything else. Not to mention, it's just words; you can create your own visuals just off a simple description. You can see "curly brown hair and hazel eyes" and all of us are going to picture our own interpretation.awelker wrote: ↑20 Aug 2007, 10:25I agree with Kath. I like reading because it allows me to escape the world that i am in now.sleepydumpling wrote:I read for two reasons...
