The theme of perseverance is evident as the author manages to forge ahead despite the challenges he faced. We can also get to see how immigrants view more developed states and the diversity between cultures.

The themes that are covered in the book: There is freedom to fail, love in America, the cultural differences between the US and Pakistan, choosing the path that takes us our dream life instead of the path that restricts us.

"Beyond the Golden Door" talks about several big ideas. First, it shows how tough situations can make us stronger and teach us to keep going. It also talks about moving to a new place and learning to fit in while still remembering where you come from. The book shares the story of changing religions and how what we believe can change our lives. It's about chasing the American Dream, finding success, and still looking for where we truly belong. Lastly, it's about family, friendship, and finding our own path in life. All these ideas make the book interesting and full of lessons.

One theme that resonated with me in the book was resilience and perseverance. These were adequately depicted in the book. There are the themes of freedom, love and even cultural shock.

Master's transition from a devout Shia Muslim background to finding faith in Christ in the context of American freedom provides a rich exploration on the role of religion in shaping one's view of freedom. It highlights the relationship between religious freedom and personal transformation, and how different cultural and religious backgrounds perceive and experience freedom in the American context.
