I love to read all types of books, except for science fiction.. I love to learn and reading allows you to escape into another world and learn from it. I am glad I found this book club because of the reading privileges!

There are tons of reasons but I think I like reading primarily because it let's me see into someone else's mind. Plus it makes me escape reality and I love how I can just get lost in another world, created by someone else. Reading is also pretty entertaining and helps me build my vocabulary.

I like reading books as it helps me forget everything else and focus only on what's in front of me. However, finding the free time to do so is a bit difficult for moms like me who are working 24/7 to keep their families happy.

This is a question that's easy to answer but also challenging :lol2: I think reading lovers can just kinda connect and they get it with the other reader (s). It's an unspoken bond, I think. There really is just... SOMETHING about reading that's just *sigh*.

Logistically though it was my major form of entertainment growing up. I wasn't interested in much else, and I enjoy my mind being fed. I like going on adventures and not really having to go anywhere. I LOVE history, and reading allows you to not just travel around the world but back in time as well. I have certain genres and time periods that I absolutely can't get enough of.

I also appreciate that there are so many different genres. This year a goal of mine has been to break out of my normal and try some new reads.

First of all " It is the easiest way for me to escape reality, and as far as I am concerned it is one of the most healthy way to do it. We all need to do some escaping every now and then.

The second reason is that I love learning new things, I love change , and I love learning of new ideas no matter how strange they may sound.

I like reading because it is my hobby. It improves my way of expression. It makes me learn something new and it keeps my mind alert.

My reasons for reading are innumerable. However, a substantial amount of my reasons deal with the gaining of knowledge. I read to learn, in other words.

Hi friends,

For me, reading is to enter a new world and understand their thoughts, differences and out of curiosity, I check myself to see how relevant it is to me .
In my opinion, every book teaches us  something. :techie-studyingbrown:

And what I can't stop is that my first two books never belong to the same genre. I unknowingly started to compare them.
Don't rush for everything, enjoy every moment because you only remind the last minute but can not relive it

First of all, know that reading is power. Reading informs you of things you would never have known. You can gain from very old writings. There's a lot of wisdom that can be gained from written stuff.

I cherish reading for its capacity to transport me to diverse realms, offering escapism, empathy, and intellectual stimulation. Through books, I explore different perspectives, cultures, and experiences, fostering continuous learning and personal growth. It ignites my imagination, providing solace during challenging times and inspiring me to envision possibilities beyond reality. Reading is not just a pastime; it's a transformative journey that enriches my life with knowledge, insights, and profound moments of connection with the world.

I like reading because it's an opportunity to travel to different landscapes and, sometimes, through different periods in time. It's an escape certainly, but more than that, it's a voyage as seen through another's eyes.

I think like a lot of people, I enjoy reading new worlds to escape into. I read and my brain creates a mini movie going along with it so it's very easy for me to get absorbed and let hours pass by, especially when the characters are really good.

Reading for me takes me to a world I belong in. I don't have to be anything there but myself . A world of acceptance. It's not everyone who would like to just wake up on a daily basis and enjoy reading or be excited about a new book or finishing a series. I am glad I have been one of a few who have been gifted with such.

When I read my crime, mysteries and thriller books I cannot help but be transported to the actual scene. It is exciting . I have always been the kind of person who loves puzzles and solving problems hence I am currently studying civil engineering. Do not get me wrong, I do not envy being a detective at all.

For me this is more like a calling . Although after giving birth to my daughter , I've noticed a decline in my interest in books while she can't wait to open a book and enjoy it's illustrations at 3 years old. I guess my talents have become divided and someone stole them .
