Hi @Gerry Steen, I just read your comments on the official review of “Cancer, Faith & Butterflies” and you are correct we will all face the loss of family and friends to Cancer sometime in our lives. Being a senior citizen, I have already experienced this loss several times and it is heart-wrenching but my faith in God assures me I will see my loved ones again someday in Heaven. @Mrlefty0706

Hi @Singh Wolf, I just read your comments on the official review of “Cancer, Faith & Butterflies” and you are correct we will all face the loss of family and friends to Cancer sometime in our lives. I really loved Jimmy's new found faith in God and he died knowing that he would go to Heaven. This faith-based novel focuses on spiritual and emotional toll of coping and challenges posed by cancer on the people involved. The author's heartfelt and detailed portrayal of the impact of illness on physical and mental health, and on relationship are familiar to those who faced such a loss. The characters perform soul-searching, in questioning their beliefs, emphasizing spirituality. Will the husband undergo a transformation as his wife's illness gets worse? will he change spiritually? This book's gravity might be too hard to get through, but fan of spiritual novels may enjoy character spiritual growth and unconditional love and religious messsage overall. great review of a deep novel.

Disease and death of loved ones is often difficult to cope with. It's comforting to know the author did justice to these themes through the lives of the book's characters.

With the death of his parents, Joey sure had to grow up too fast. I'm quite curious how the book proceeded and how it ended. This indeed seems like a captivating book. Congrats on getting the BOTD.

I would also find Jimmy interesting in the way he persevered despite having Leukamia, and I would love to learn about his relationship with Joey.
