For sure!!! This is the way to often discover a really great story . a person can be introduced to a new author or new genre that he/she might not have considered otherwise. If you don't care for the book after all, you've at least been exposed to something new.

I love it, I always find it really difficult to work out what to read next when I'm done with a series.

I like getting suggestions of books to read. I have had books recommended to me and they have been some of the books I have most enjoyed. If they were not recommended I most probably would have never of read them.

Sometimes I find book suggestions really helpful. But occasionally I've found people that like to recommend things but don't really know my book preferences so it doesn't work out too well. :/

I use goodreads to find suggestions to books. And since I have a Kobo account they offer suggestions as well. I really like it because once I've finished a book I'm on to the next one, and it saves time with searching.

Sometimes but I'm not the biggest fan. I end up feeling a bit pressured to read that book even if the plot didn't appeal to me that much ...

I don't mind receiving book recommendations but I hate when someone keeps asking me if I went and bought it and read it? I take all recommendations into consideration and if its not for me, I don't want to be asked about it over and over. I recommend books all the time. If the person has read it or plan to read it, they usually come back to me so we can discuss. It got on my nerves how many people told me I absolutely had to read Fifty Shades of Grey and then kept badgering me about it. To each their own. I like getting suggestions/recommendations from Goodreads as well.
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

I don't mind getting suggestions for books since I will basically read anything I can get my hands on.

I usually prefer to choose a book on its summary and reviews online. But if a friend recommends me a book I do look it up online.

I am on the fence about this one. On one hand I love getting suggestions about books when someone has taken the time out of their day to think that I would like a book and recommend it to me. However, I get a lot of suggestions that have been sent out to a persons entire friend list. This to me is pointless it seems like they just what people to know that they read a book in this case.

Absolutely! Of course sometimes you know the book being suggested is off your radar...or maybe you've seen it and no, or maybe you've already read it...just be polite and thank the person for the suggestion. But some people particularly my Dad or hubby or son are always passing on book suggestions they've heard from radio or elsewhere. Those are the books I'll go out of my way to look for...they know the books I like.

You know, I ask for book recommendations all the time, but history tells me that I end up reading whatever the heck I want anyway.

Of course, how would I find all the good books if I didn't?
