Songwriting and poetry go together. Music and poetry are forms of therapy for those enjoying them.
"The Sound of the Broken Wand" is therapy. Tiki Black, thank you for putting your heart and soul into this book.

Great review! I am not into poetry, although I can appreciate a good poem. This book seems to be filled with some really good poems.

Lovely review! I found the title very striking alone, but you’re telling me I possibly have a new musical artist (and a Black, female one at that) to get into as well? I consider this a win! As someone who nearly always has to connect poems I read to some sort of music in my head (for fairly obvious reasons), this type of poetry book is right up my alley. Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Thank you for sharing your well-spoken review. I enjoyed reading it and appreciated the insight into the book's essence.

An array of poems covering the emotions of love, fear, societal judgments, and relinquishing the past sounds like a journey that takes us deep into the being of the author, Tiki Black.

I hope the author gained a sense of peace from her poetry and found resolution in her past.
